After to confirm with our Sales department the trip / packages of your preference and according with the Quotation and Itinerary established, we request a pre-payment following the next indications. PAYMENT POLICY FOR GROUPS, MULTIDAY PACKAGES AND FAMILY VACATIONS. 20% percent DEPOSIT of the total amount when you receive the Confirmation Form by our sales department if booking is made within more than 2 months in advance to the arrival date. Balance or full amount if the trip is within, 30 days before the arrival date. If some suppliers (as hotels for example) request pre- payments with more than 2 months in advance, we will contact the customer and request the balance earlier. This policy can apply for special dates such as Christmas, New Year, and Holy Week. CANCELLATION POLICY: For Vacation Packages: If cancellation is made 30 days or more prior to the scheduled trip, a 10% of the deposit is forfeited. If cancellation is made 29-15 days, the entire 50% deposit is forfeited. If cancellation is made 14-1 days before scheduled trip, total deposit is forfeited. For Shore Excursions: If cancellation is made 5 days or more prior to the scheduled trip a 10% handling fee, is made. If cancellation is made 4 days before scheduled trip, total deposit is forfeited. For One Day Tours: If cancellation is made 5 days or more prior to the scheduled trip a 10% handling fee, is made. If cancellation is made 4 days before scheduled trip, total deposit is forfeited. PAYMENT BY WIRE TRANSFER: If you prefer to pay by bank deposit, please contact our main office for additional information. CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS. In case the customer wants to pay by credit card, we will send our Credit Card Authorization Form that has to fill out and send to our office by email at info@greenwaytours.com ONLINE BOOKINGS. All our tours can be booked using our online & secure payment system handled by FareHarbor. FOR INDIVIDUAL TRAVELERS & GROUPS
1. Because of the fact that Greenway Nature Tours is an operator of daily tours and multi day packages, there are no conditions about the time in advance in which a reservation should be made. Greenway Tours can confirm bookings at any time and according availability. 2. To guarantee the reservation, the information about the passenger should be emailed and the deposit should be done maximum 8 days the tour is confirmed, excluding the cases in which the client is already in compliance with the regulations about credit thought our Accounting Department. 3. Any special information about the passenger or requirements should be indicated at the moment of made the reservation. 4. The agency or client that makes a reservation should require a written confirmation from our Reservations Department, as a guarantee for the services. 5. The agency that schedules the reservation, may request Greenway Tours to take the payment directly from the client at the pickup time. However, the agency should take total responsibility in the case of "no show" by paying the normal service fee to Greenway tours. 6. Written cancellations must be received according with our Cancelation Policy in order to avoid any charge. 7. Charges about cancellations of tours that require lodging are conditioned to the respective hotel cancellation policy. Greenway Tours is responsible for operation the tour since the confirmation of the reservation is done. As a result, the charge for cancellations received less than 5 days prior to the reserve will be 100%. 8. Despite the above policy, if a passenger requires to cancel a reservation less than 5 days in advance, Greenway Tours gives the option of changing the date of service and for the same regular tour we operate. 9. Regular tours are defined as the One Day tours that are operated by Greenway Tours. 10. In the case of "NO SHOW" the service will be charged according to our regular fees. 11. Greenway tours will wait 10 minutes for a passenger after the specific pick up time. Then, the guide will ask the hotel to stamp his document in order to prove that he was there at the time and he will continue the tour. For that, the client will be charged as NO SHOW. CRUISE PASSENGERS: PUNTARENAS, CALDERA OR LIMON SHORE EXCURSIONS. 12. After the agreement with the customer, Greenway Tours will send by email the Confirmation Form indicating details about the tour, departure time and meeting instructions. The tour departure time listed is the LOCAL time in the port where the tour takes place. If your ship crosses time zones, the time onboard your ship and the local time in the port may be different. While some ships adjust their clocks to match the local time in port other may keep the clocks in the time zone of the ship departure port. If you are unsure what the local time is in port, please ask Guest Services on your ship. 13. For cruise passengers we will wait for the necessary time if there are delays with the docking procedures or clearance by the local authorities. In case that the ship can’t dock due really bad weather conditions or any special reason, we guarantee to all our customers a FULL REFUND. However, if the ship docks, trips operate rain or shine, and we can’t accept last minute cancellations due normal rainy conditions. 14. Greenway Tours will wait 10 minutes for a passenger after the specific Pick Up time. After this time, the tour will leave, and the client will be charged as NO SHOW. 15. Meeting instructions: We operate from 3 ports basically. Puntarenas Pier: You will be met at the cruise pier. Right in front Gangway, look for a representative of Greenway Tours holding a board with your party’s name. Our bus will be close to the gangway. All Greenway Tours buses have our logo in front and guides wear uniform.
Puerto Caldera: You will be met at the cruise pier MAIN ENTRANCE. Please, look for a representative of Greenway Tours holding a board with your name or Tour's name. All Greenway Tours buses have our logo in front and guides wear uniform.
Puerto Limon: You will be met at the MAIN ENTRANCE of cruise pier. It is only a short walk from the ship. Look for a representative of Greenway Tours holding a board with your party’s name. All Greenway Tours buses have our logo in front and guides wear uniform. 16. 17. Recommended Dress: We recommend wearing short pants, comfortable clothing, and closed-toe, sensible walking shoes, insect repellent, sunglasses, hat and sunscreen are also suggested.
18. Ship Itinerary changes: If your ship makes an itinerary change and you arrive in the scheduled port on an alternate day, please do not assume your tour has been cancelled. Your tour will be scheduled for the new date. Please call our local representative to reconfirm the new date. If your ship completely misses a port where you had the tour, please call (+506-2297-0889) when you return to receive a refund.
19. Please note: Greenway Tours Excursions are not provided by the cruise line. Please do not assume this excursion are affected by any changes the ship’s shore excursion department makes their excursions.
General Terms and Conditions. All Services.
20. All tour services are provided by GREENWAY NATURE TOURS. GREENWAY NATURE TOURS accept no liability of any kind from any loss, damage, injury, costs or delays resulting from your use of tour services. Participation may also be subject to the tour operator’s own terms and conditions. Any claims arising on this Terms and Conditions shall be brought only in the court of general jurisdiction or the principal office of the independent Tour Operator is located, and the choice of Law with respect to any such claim shall be the law of the jurisdiction.
21. GREENWAY NATURE TOURS reserve the right to cancel any tour due to adverse weather conditions or for any other reason and shall not be liable for any laws whatsoever the customers due to a tour cancellation. GREENWAY NATURE TOURS will issue a full refund for all cancelled Tours, including those cancelled due to a delay in ship arrival or an inability of a ship to call on a port. In order to receive a refund for cancelled tour, customers must submit a refund request by contacting GREENWAY NATURE TOURS within 14 days of tour’s departure date.
22. All personal Items, including coats, cameras, handbags, and similar personal articles should always remain through the tour under your personal control. GREENWAY NATURE TOURS is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal items while you are on tour.
23. The right is reserved to withdraw any tour, to change the sequence of tour activities, or to omit specific activities for any reason, including the safety or best interest of the customers. Tour operators may also decline to provide tour services of any customer at any time. Greenway Tours reserve the right to exclude any participant in the tour if his/her behaviour is unbecoming or injurious to the welfare of the group.
24. CANCELATION POLICY: Unless otherwise noted within the tour description, customer can cancel a tour up to 5 days before departure and receive a full refund. All tours are non-refundable if not canceled by customers before 5 days before your tour departure.
No refunds will be made to any customer, who fails to show up for a tour departure at the designated time and place, or who leaves, or otherwise does not use all of the services scheduled to be provided by an excursion. Most tours will operate in a variety of weather conditions, and no refunds will be made to any customer who chooses not to participate in a departing due to weather conditions. Members of any excursions who elect to leave the designated tour transportation must provide their own transportation at their own expense back to the landing place of the vessel.
25. All prices are in U.S Dollars. CHILDREN. 26. Passengers between 3-10 years old are considered children. Their fee is 80% of the adult fee. 27. Passengers over 11 years old will pay the adult normal fee. 28. Passengers under 3 years old are considered infants and do not pay any fee. Parents will assume their expenses and provide their meals. INSURANCE & WEIVERS 29. In some case, Greenway Tours acts as an agent and requires external services from hotels, tour operators, restaurants, etc. In these cases, their insurance and cancellation policies have priority over us. Nevertheless, our vehicles have the best insurance coverages allowed by the Costa Rican government and an additional insurance for Tour Operators.
30. In some tours, such as rafting, canopy, treetops walks, etc, Greenway Nature Tours or our suppliers will request to the customer to fill out and sign a waiver. In the case the customer denied signing it up, the company could take the decision to exclude the client from that specific activity and explore a substitute activity. 31. GREENWAY NATURE TOURS, as a recognized tour company, acts only as an agent for the passenger in regard to travel, whether by car, motor coach, boat or plane and assumes no liability during such travel for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason of defect in any vehicle or for any company person engaged in covering the passenger or in carrying out the arrangements of the tour. GREENWAY NATURE TOURS assume no liability for the loss or personal effects or baggage. The right is reserved to cancel, or substitute stops on any tour without notice, and to use the services of affiliated companies as deemed necessary.
32. TOUR TIMING CHANGES Greenway Nature Tours reserve the right to make last minute changes to the tour timing or Pick Up times if this will be necessary in order to operate the tour in a safety way or due external situations as late ships arrivals, traffic jams, roads blocked or any other special situation.
33. SPECIAL TRAVEL DATES RATES CHANGE: For the special dates such as Christmas, New Year and Eastern all the rates will have a supplement charge of 10% due the increments applied by our suppliers and hotels CERTIFICATIONS & MEMBERSHIPS:
34. GREENWAY NATURE TOURS is a recognized and certified Travel Agency and Tour Operator by the government of Costa Rica, according with the laws and regulations estipulate by the Costa Rica Tourist Board (ICT). We are members of SYTA (Student Youth Travel Association), ACOT (Costa Rica Tour Operators Association) & GRUPO PROIMAGEN DE COSTA RICA. All documents and certifications can be provided upon request.
NOTE: When other individuals or companies are used to provide services, their insurance payment and cancellation policies will apply.
