Your breath-taking adventure begins with a pickup directly from the pier and a relaxing drive through the wonderful Costa Rican countryside on an air-conditioned transportation and recent model deluxe vehicle or mini bus. Your guide will point out many sights of interest including mango, coffee, sugar and citrus plantations, diverse fruit stands and rural farming communities. You will be heading to the Central Pacific Coast and Tarcoles River until arrives to our private property, about 60 minutes’ drive from San Jose.

Upon arrival to our beautiful property, you will have some free time for use restrooms and explore the surroundings before to ride your horse.

After arrival meet your English-speaking cowboy, who has devoted his life to horses, will welcome you and will consider your experience and needs before pairing you with the perfect horse. After receiving brief instructions, embark on your 2-hour riding adventure using western saddle. We run a truly authentic, ethical and non-touristy opportunity to see the real Costa Rica on horseback! With our incredible rides, rest assured you are in safe and professional hands.

The tour will take you to the Mangrove, the rainforest, the beach and the River, where many huge crocodiles, scarlet macaws, howler monkeys, aquatic birds and more wildlife species are easy to see.
After the horseback riding tour, a one -hour boat tour along Tarcoles River will give you the opportunity to see huge crocodiles from a very short distance. The Tarcoles River is home to one of the world’s largest crocodile populations in the wild and they are very easy to admire during our tour.

After these two great adventures, return to the pier. Upon arrival, you can decide to stay in the city or make your way back directly to the ship. For all those interested in walking along the boulevards, the pier is located right at the city at a very short distance from your ship. So, no worries for an easy return.
