Your breath-taking, adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel and a relaxing private drive through the wonderful Costa Rican countryside on an air-conditioned transportation and recent model deluxe vehicle or mini bus. Your guide will point out many sights of interest including coffee plantations, sugar cane and citrus plantations, diverse fruit stands and rural farming communities. You will be heading Orosi Town in Cartago Province, about 90 minutes’ drive from San Jose.

Located 38 kilometers southeast of downtown San José, the Orosi Valley is a land surrounded by rain forest and exuberant vegetation that transports our visitors to live the experience of feeling nature.

Here is Hacienda Orosi, a beautiful property dedicated to the cultivation of specialty coffee and that has a source of thermo-mineral waters that are unique in the region that are offered to international and national tourism.

Here you can enjoy seven pools with mineral hot springs which range between 80 ° F and 100 ° F surrounded by beautiful gardens and panoramic views of the Orosi Valley, Cerro Barba de Viejo and the imposing Irazú and Turrialba volcanoes.

The pools are of continuous flow of thermal mineral water; these should not be confused with volcanic thermal water. Thermal mineral water originates from a fracture in the tectonic plate; it filters reaching a great depth achieving a violent increase in temperature that makes it sprout in the middle of the rainforest at more than 165 ° F (Hyperthermal). These waters are composed of minerals and ions such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, aluminum, sulfate and zinc.
