Tour Description:

Your breath-taking, adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel and a relaxing private drive through the wonderful Costa Rican countryside on an air-conditioned transportation and recent model deluxe vehicle or minibus. Your guide will point out many sights of interest including coffee plantations, sugar cane and citrus plantations, diverse fruit stands and rural farming communities. You will be heading Fortuna Town and Arenal Volcano area, about 2.5 hours’ drive from San Jose.

Upon our arrival to Arenal Volcano area, you will check in at Eco Center Danaus.

Eco Center Danaus is a private Ecological Reserve where conservation, training, environmental education, and sustainable production programs are developed. Through the trails it is possible to observe in their natural state a great variety of wild plants and animals, a water source of national importance for nesting and observation of aquatic birds and a butterfly farm. The reproduction of trees of native species is one of our main conservation objectives, as well as the rescue of the Maleku indigenous culture, who exhibit their crafts, provide information to the visitor about their culture and perform their ceremonies within the Ecological Reserve.

The duration of the tours is 1 hour and 30 minutes and are conducted by highly experienced local naturalist guides, who speak the English language and have extensive knowledge in natural and cultural history of the most outstanding species.  This tour is a great ecological experience where you can see sloths, iguanas, birds, basilisks, frogs among others. It also has a butterfly farm, a wetland, a Maleku craft house, and a green environment where animals live naturally. The distance of the route is 800 meters, covered with gravel for greater safety, which makes it accessible for adults or families with children.  This is the perfect tour for all those interested in observing wildlife in their natural habitat.

After this ecological experience, you can relax in one of the best thermal water places in the area: Baldi Hot Springs. At Baldi Hot Springs you will find an endless dreamed stay, where the natural environment, colorful natural gardens, therapeutic waters, pure air and our care combine on a perfect state; the dream came true. The unique frame where your experience turns into the most unforgettable one. In here you will enjoy multiple thermal pools, a giant stem room, luxury pool bars, Giant water-slides, relaxing areas and much more.

Upon arrival to Baldi Hot Springs, enjoy a delicious Buffet Lunch before soak into the Thermal Pools. Lockers and Towels are included in our tours. At this paradise you will stay till 4:00 PM, them, we will begin our return trip to the city of San Jose.
