Day by Day Itinerary.

Day 1.  WELCOME TO COSTA RICA. Arrival to the International Airport Juan Santamaria. Upon arrival at the San Jose airport, you will be met by one of our representatives how will explain your itinerary, answer any questions and provide you with a packet of vouchers and information about your trip. Transfer to Hotel Radisson and free time at leisure.

Day 2. PACUARE RAFTING TOUR. (B, L). Rafting on the Pacuare River – rated one of the top rivers in the world – is an amazing Costa Rica Day trip. You’ll raft through incredible rainforest on 19 miles of Class III-IV whitewater. Cascading waterfalls, lush forest, exotic plants, birds and other animals, and exciting rapids make this a tropical adventure packed with rich experiences that you’ll remember forever.

This trip gives you the ultimate blend of wilderness exposure and excitement. Rio Pacuare is world famous for its pristine beauty. Being a true river gorge it is flanked by step green walls. Waterfall’s cascade into the river from both sides as colorful, tropical birds fly over your head. The wildlife is abundant, with sloths, toucans, parrots, coatis, butterflies, and colorful frogs being common sights. The white water is equally exciting; the number of rapids covered on this outstanding descend makes it a most memorable river trip. During the descent we will stop to enjoy a buffet style lunch at the most beautiful beach on the river. We finish in Siquirres at our own private Exploration Center, where you can take a shower, change, have a cold beverage, enjoy pictures of your trip, and reflect with your new friends about the great adventure you just shared.

After the tour, transfer to Arenal Volcano area and Fortuna Town. Upon arrival, check in at Hotel La Pradera or similar. Free time for enjoy the beautiful nightlife that Fortuna have to offer.

 Day 3.  FORTUNA WATERFALL & BALDI HOT SPRINGS. (B, L). Your breath-taking, adventure begins with a morning pickup from your hotel and a relaxing drive to Fortuna Waterfall.

The La Fortuna Waterfall is one of the best things to see when you come to the Arenal Area! You will love the hike down to this waterfall near the town of La Fortuna because you can see all the natural beauty of the rainforest as well as the birds and wildlife that live there. Once you arrive to the La Fortuna Waterfall, prepare to be blown away by the beauty of this impressive waterfall near the Arenal Volcano! You will also be able to swim and take amazing photos.

Later, you will relax in one of the best thermal water places in the area: Baldi Hot Springs. At Baldi Hot Springs you will find an endless dreamed stay, where the natural environment, colorful natural gardens, therapeutic waters, pure air and our care combine on a perfect state; the dream came true. The unique frame where your experience turns into the most unforgettable one. In here you will enjoy multiple thermal pools, a giant stem room, luxury pool bars, Giant waterslides, relaxing areas and much more.

Upon arrival to Baldi Hot Springs, enjoy a delicious Buffet Lunch before to jump into the Thermal Pools. You can stay at this paradise all the rest of the day. Return to the hotel on you own, but it is a short 5 minute drive.

Day 4.  ARENAL – JACO BEACH (B). Breakfast at your hotel and land transfer to Jaco Beach in the Central Pacific Coast. Upon arrival, check in at Hotel Balcon del Mar. Free time for enjoy the beach and during the night the rich nightlife of this vibrant city.

Day 5. JACO BEACH (B, L). Breakfast at your hotel and free day for enjoy the beach and the town. Multiple tours available. Contact us for options available.

Day 6. TRANSFER OUT. (B) Transfer to the International Airport accordingly with your scheduled flight and Good bye.

INCLUDE: 5 nights lodging in high quality Hotels, all land transportation within Costa Rica, all airport/ hotel transfers on scheduled arrival/ departures dates only, specified meals, specified tours and taxes.

NOT INCLUDED: International air fare, airport departure taxes, meals not specified in the itinerary, alcoholic beverages, personal equipment, extras in hotels (laundry, phone calls, and room service), gratuities, or costs associated with changes in your itinerary for reasons beyond our control.

SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE: The shuttle bus is a service where a maximum of 6-7 passengers travel in the same vehicle and to the same destination. By this way, we reduce the price of the transfer service and can arrange more economical packages. The service is very good, door to door, with recent model vehicles, full insured and A/C.

DEPARTURE DATES: All our options are available all year around and we just need your travel dates in order to check the hotel’s availability and arrange it.

HOW BIG THE GROUPS ARE: Our vacations are operated in an independent basis and you will not travel as part of a group unless you are part of a group. However, during the transfers and Daily Tours you will travel with other tourist we might have for that particular activity or service.

HOW TO RESERVE THIS PACKAGE: Please send an email to info@greenwaytours.com with as much as information you can about your desired vacation, number of participants, arrival dates, name of the package you are interested on and any other special requirements. Once you receive our confirmation form, a 20% deposit is due. Full payment due 45 days prior to departure.

CAN I CUSTOMIZE A PACKAGE: Yes, you can use our packages as a base and make any change on it. We are very flexible. If these packages do not fit on your desired vacation, just send an email to us and we can prepare a new option for you.

AIRFARE IS NOT INCLUDED: All our options includes the Land Portion only. Airfare must be on your own and indicate your arrival and departure dates to us in order to arrange the hotel’s bookings.

HOTEL CATEGORIES: All the hotels used by Greenway Tours had been selected considering the best standards of quality and service. Our Hotels are between 3 and 5 stars. All inspected by our company’s owners and managers in order to guarantee an excellent service. At least 50% of our lodging contractors had been certified as Green Companies by the Costa Rican Tourist Board (Certification in Sustainable Tourism CST).

VOUCHERS & WECOME KIT: During the transfer service to your hotel, our tour guide will provide general information about your tour and give you a welcome kit with all the vouchers and documents you will need for your trip.
