Costa Rica School Package – Best of Costa Rica, is a educational program for 5 days and 4 nights.

VISITING: Our Costa Rica School Package will be visiting: San José, La Paz Waterfalls, Arenal Volcano and Hot Springs, Sarapiqui

Day 1. WELCOME TO COSTA RICA (D). Our Costa Rica School Package start with the group arrival to the International Airport Juan Santamaria. Upon arrival at the San Jose airport, you will be met by one of our representatives how will explain your itinerary, answer any questions and provide you with a package with vouchers and information about your trip. Transfer to Hotel Park Inn and free time at leisure.

Optional and depending on arrival time: City Tour: Visiting: San Jose, University of Costa Rica, San Pedro, Principal buildings as National Museum, National Teather, Congress, Yellow House, Plaza de la Cultura, Gold Museum, etc. Residential areas and principal Malls. Welcome Dinner.

Day 2. LA PAZ WATERFALL GARDENS: (B, L, D). Breakfast at the hotel and departure to the Beautiful complex of La Paz Waterfall Gardens.

La Paz Waterfall Gardens is the #1 Most Visited Privately Owned Ecological Attraction in Costa Rica featuring the best hiking near San José, the most famous waterfalls in Costa Rica, rescued wildlife preserve with over 100 species of animals, and an environmental education program.

Five waterfalls, cloud forest and rain forest, safe hiking trails, aviary with numerous species of birds, toucan feeding, insect exhibit, butterfly observatory, capuchin (white-faced) monkeys, black-handed spider monkeys, hummingbird garden with 26 documented species, hummingbird hand feeding in the mornings and afternoons, serpentarium (snake exhibit), jaguars, pumas, ocelots, margays, typical house with petting zoo and ox cart, ranarium (frog exhibit), orchid exhibit, heliconia exhibit.  All these offered at one place, makes us the best Eco Park in Costa Rica.

Our tour includes a delicious Buffet Lunch. It includes multiple selections of Traditional Costa Rican Dishes, Full Salad Bar, Pizza, Garlic Bread, French Fries, Fresh Fruits, Rice Pudding and unlimited Fresh Fruit Juice, Coffee and Tea.

By the middle of the afternoon, return to your hotel. Free time for rest. Dinner at the hotel or nearby restaurant.

Day 3. ARENAL VOLCANO. (B, L, D). Our Costa Rica school package have included some of the best locations in Costa Rica for a real educational experience. Located in the northern lowlands of Costa Rica, the impressive Arenal Volcano is a National Park that attracts thousands and thousands of tourists due to its beauty and recent past volcanic activity. As we continue our trip, we will go throw diverse plantations with agricultural products, ornamental plants and cattle ranches until we arrive to La Fortuna, for lunch in a cozy restaurant right in front of the volcano. This excellent location will allow us the best view to see any volcanic activity. Back in the 80´s the volcano was very active, but now has reduced its activity and we could say that it has entered a period of calm.

Once in La Fortuna Town, a sightseeing tour will show you the highlights of the area and its rich diversity of tourist attractions, ecosystems, the lake, culture, customs & traditions of this emblematic town of Costa Rica.

Later you will relax in one of the best thermal water places in the area: Baldi Hot Springs. At Baldi Hot Springs you will find an endless dreamed stay, where the natural environment, colorful natural gardens, therapeutic waters, pure air and our care combine on a perfect state; the dream came true. 

The unique frame where your experience turns into the most unforgettable one. In here you will enjoy multiple thermal pools, a giant stem room, luxury pool bars, Giant water-slides, relaxing areas and much more.

Last, a wonderful dinner will be served with a great view of the volcano After dinner, we will begin our return trip to the city of San Jose. 

Day 4. RAINFOREST AERIAL TRAM. (B, L, D). Twenty minutes outside of San Jose you will cross the Continental Divide and enter Braulio Carrillo National Park. After a half hour trip through the park, the bus will reach a 1000 acre private reserve of virgin forest.

Open-sided vehicles shuttle passengers from the parking area to the Visitor’s Center. The shuttle trip introduces the forest, as visitors pass a small river and numerous tree snags with nesting holes of various birds – the White Hawk is regularly seen here, as well as the Pale-billed Woodpecker and many others.

After a quick briefing on canopy exploration and the construction of the tram, visitors divide into smaller groups for a 45 to 90-minute (optional) nature walk with a trained naturalist guide. The trails are well-groomed and provide an excellent introduction to the rain forest.

Time now to board the Aerial Tram. The Open-sided cable-cars hold 5 passengers and a guide. The guides are quite knowledgeable about flora and fauna. They’ll point out orchids and different species of trees and are quick to identify the calls of the many birds that inhabit this unique environment. The tram ride lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes. The lower, outbound leg of the tram journey takes you skimming over hilltops and in and out of the sub-canopy, a dark world of overburdened tree limbs dripping with mosses, ferns, and orchids. Lianas and vines drape over branches and traverse forest spaces, and act as highways for birds and insects. The ride will stop several times as passengers board at either loading station.

The return leg of the ride reveals the most dramatic portion of the trip as the cars glide on a breath-taking journey through and above the airy canopy.

Lunch at the Tram facilities and after it, return to the hotel in San Jose.

Day 5. TRANSFER OUT & GOOD BYE. (B) Transfer to the International Airport according with your scheduled flight and good bye. We hope that our Costa Rica school package has been of your entire satisfaction.
