Day by Day Itinerary.

Day 1. ARRIVE IN LIBERIA, GUANACASTE.  Our Essential Costa Rica Package start with your arrival to the International Airport Guanacaste in Liberia City. Upon arrival, you will be met by one of our representatives how will provide the transfer service to Hotel Blue River in the surroundings of the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano.

Day 2. BLUE RIVER HOT SPRINGS & DINOSAUR´S PARK TOUR. (B).

Watch dinosaurs come alive!

Everyone gets up close and personal at Dino Park in anticipation of experiencing Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Enter our rainforest with a blue river on the north side of the national park, Rincon de la Vieja near Blue River Resort & Hot Springs. Visiting these 26 life-size moving behemoths will make imaginations come alive.

Following the sounds of the dinosaur’s bellowing roars, groans and squawks is also an education in the living ‘jungle-classroom’. Search out and learn about the dinosaurs by carefully following a path that leads to surprises at every turn. However, don’t wander off the marked paths! They may be hungry.

Explorers will walk along clearly marked scenic trails at a leisurely pace for adults and children alike. Imagine taking a ‘selfie’ with a life-size dinosaur brandishing its teeth next to your ear.

Take as many photos as you like.

After this morning tour, have lunch at the Resort and relax during the afternoon at the hot springs, or take an extra tour.

Day 3-4. FREE STYLE DAY IN BLUE RIVER (B) Customize your vacation with the included adventure of your choice. Please select one. This option will be added to your final itinerary.

– Horseback Riding to the Waterfall: Set out on horseback like a Sabanero (Costa Rica cowboy). In Guanacaste natural hot springs, blue rivers and rainforest can only be found here on the north side of the volcano, Rincon de la Vieja. The Grand Waterfalls are a sight to behold. Enter a lush rainforest to experience a truly spectacular blue river and grand waterfalls. Enjoy a dip by the Grand Waterfall and a hike through the jungle.

– Visit The Waterfall by Truck: In Guanacaste natural hot springs, blue rivers and rainforest can only be found here on the north side of the volcano, Rincon de la Vieja. The Grand Waterfalls are a sight to behold. Enter a lush rainforest to experience a truly spectacular blue river and grand waterfalls. Enjoy a dip by the Grand Waterfall and a hike through the jungle. Access by Truck

– Tubing in Blue River: One of the most exciting ways to go down a river is lying on a rubber inner tube, winding around bends, and passing through calm water, white water and adrenaline pumping chutes. Our Costa Rica water tubing adventure is fun for all adults looking for excitement and we consider it Costa Rica’s premier tubing tour. Rocks tower out of the water but are blocked by the tube like a bumper car, sending you in another direction, spinning forward or backward. The lush rainforest forms a picturesque periphery, through canyons and thick greenery. In fact, the sound of blue water rushing past is quiet compared to the howler monkeys, insects and birds.The tubing takes place along the famous blue-water river, Rio Azul in the lush rainforest, depending upon the season. The drop-off point is a short distance from Blue River Resort & Hot Springs and lasts 2 1/5 hours. Prepare for an unforgettable water tubing experience that is pure pleasure.

– Rainforest Hiking Adventure Tour: From Blue River Resort & Hot Spring we drive less than 15-minutes up the mountain to a special, authentic Costa Rica farmhouse bordering Rincon de la Vieja National Park where we are welcomed by the Viales family. From here our tour commences as we set off hiking through the farm into the jungle, entering secondary forests, primary forests, past pristine waterfalls and rivers. We’ll observe the ecological diversity that abounds here on the northern slope of Rincón de la Vieja National Park, with an incredible views and a variety of flora and fauna. Animals include howler monkeys, sloths, tapirs, jaguars and many colorful birds. A goal of your guided tour is to form a special appreciation for nature and the many wonders inside Rincon de la Vieja’s north (Caribbean) rain forest. Your hike ends back at the Vialle family’s farmhouse, for a well-earned Tico snack. Enjoy refreshments and sample cheese and corn-based tortillas, all handmade and farm fresh.

– Zipline Canopy Tour & Tarzan Swing: With nine long lines, woven over parklands, across waterfalls and through the jungle, riders enjoy a zipline canopy experience The zip line, a network of platforms, lines and staircases, will get your adrenaline flowing. The longest line measures over 600 meters!

– Catedral Waterfalls Tour: Experience a Costa Rica legend come-to-life, that has been kept secret by the local elders, until now. Not only an adventure of a life-time, get connected spiritually to nature and hot springs. Afternoon: Free time.

Day 5. BLUE RIVER TO TAMARINDO BEACH. (B) Breakfast at your hotel and transfer to Playa Tamarindo on the North Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. Upon arrival, check in at Hotel Tamarindo Diria, an enchanting hotel located in front of the beach.

Day 6-7. TAMARINDO BEACH FREE TIME.  (B) Free time for enjoy the beach and the hotel facilities. Explore Tamarindo Beach on your own. Multiple tours available from the hotel.

Day 8. TRANSFER OUT.  (B) Transfer to the Guanacaste International Airport according with your schedules flight and Goodbye.

SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE: The shuttle bus is a service where a maximum of 6-7 passengers travel in the same vehicle and to the same destination. By this way, we reduce the price of the transfer service and can arrange more economical packages. The service is very good, door to door, with recent model vehicles, full insured and A/C.

DEPARTURE DATES: All our options are available all year around and we just need your travel dates in order to check the hotel’s availability and arrange it.

HOW BIG THE GROUPS ARE: Our vacations are operated in an independent basis and you will not travel as part of a group unless you are part of a group. However, during the transfers and Daily Tours you will travel with other tourist we might have for that particular activity or service.

HOW TO RESERVE THIS PACKAGE: Please send an email to info@greenwaytours.com with as much as information you can about your desired vacation, number of participants, arrival dates, name of the package you are interested on and any other special requirements. Once you receive our confirmation form, a 20% deposit is due. Full payment due 60 days prior to departure.

CAN I CUSTOMIZE A PACKAGE: Yes, you can use our packages as a base and make any change on it. We are very flexible. If these packages do not fit on your desired vacation, just send an email to us and we can prepare a new option for you.

AIRFARE IS NOT INCLUDED: All our options includes the Land Portion only. Airfare must be on your own and indicate your arrival and departure dates to us in order to arrange the hotel’s bookings.

HOTEL CATEGORIES: All the hotels used by Greenway Tours had been selected considering the best standards of quality and service. Our Hotels are between 3 and 5 stars. All inspected by our company’s owners and managers in order to guarantee an excellent service. At least 50% of our lodging contractors had been certified as Green Companies by the Costa Rican Tourist Board (Certification in Sustainable Tourism CST).

AIRPORT TRANSFERS: All our Costa Rica vacation packages include Airport – Hotel – Airport Transfers with a professional bilingual tour guide upon your flight arrival.

VOUCHERS & WECOME KIT: During the transfer service to your hotel, our tour guide will provide general information about your tour and give you a welcome kit with all the vouchers and documents you will need for your trip.

Cancellation Policy: If cancellation is made 30 days or more prior to the scheduled trip, the deposit will be refunded. If cancellation is made 30-16 days, the entire 50% deposit is forfeited. If cancellation is made 14-1 days before scheduled trip, total deposit is forfeited.
