8:00 AM – Pier Welcome & Departure

Your private naturalist guide greets you directly outside the main exit gate of the pier, holding a personalized sign with your name. Once settled in your private, air-conditioned vehicle, you will depart toward Carara National Park while your guide shares engaging commentary on Costa Rica’s rich history, biodiversity, and coastal culture.

9:00 AM – Carara National Park Rainforest Walk

Arrive at Carara National Park to begin a guided walk along the Universal Access Trail. Designed with smooth, accessible surfaces, this flat trail allows for an easy 60- to 90-minute walk through a transitional rainforest where northern dry forest meets southern humid jungle. Along the way, look for white-faced capuchin monkeys, colorful dart frogs, and native birdlife.

10:30 AM – Tárcoles River Boat Safari & Tropical Fruit Refreshment

Board an open-air riverboat for a scenic cruise along the renowned Tárcoles River and its surrounding mangrove canals. This safari provides prime opportunities to observe giant American crocodiles up close, along with scarlet macaws, roseate spoonbills, and migratory waterfowl. Following the cruise, enjoy a complimentary spread of freshly sliced seasonal tropical fruits and cold bottled water.

12:00 PM – The Crocs Skywalk & Souvenirs

Visit the Crocs Skywalk facility, where you can take in elevated scenic viewpoints overlooking the river basin. Guests have free time to browse local handicrafts and artisan souvenirs at the gift shop, or relax and purchase a traditional meal, refreshing fruit drink, or cold local beer.

1:00 PM – Return Journey to Port

Reboard your private transport for the comfortable drive back toward the cruise terminal, arriving with ample cushion before your ship’s scheduled all-aboard time.

2:00 PM – Puntarenas City Highlights & Ship Drop-off

If your ship is docked in Puntarenas, enjoy a brief panoramic drive along the historic waterfront and the iconic Paseo de los Turistas before pulling up directly to the ship’s gangway. For guests docked at Puerto Caldera, this marks a relaxed, direct return to the terminal.
