After the Pick Up from the pier by our certified Tour Guide, a relaxing drive through the wonderful Puerto Limon Costa Rica countryside on an air-conditioned transportation and recent model deluxe vehicle will bring you to your selected activities in our Puerto Limon Sloths Tour. Your guide will point out many sights of interest along the way until your arrival to the first stop at Cahuita National Park, where the search for sloths will begin. At this park, many sloths are in their natural habitat and free. In here, you will learn about their natural history, behavior and many other interesting facts of this lovely animal.
After Cahuita, you will continue the Puerto Limon Sloths Tour but this time taking a Boat Tour in Tortuguero Canal. During this nice journey, you will be able to see more Sloth’s, due they love to live close to the rivers. Sometimes, they are in the branches of the trees and at several meters from the boats, but sometimes they are very close, and you can take amazing pictures of them. On this tour we do not manipulate the wildlife because we respect it. Our company is certified as an Environmental and Sustainable Tour Operator and for this reason we do not agree with the wildlife species manipulation. However, we do our best in order you have a real eco tour. With our tour, you don´t need to go to the Zoo or Sanctuaries where they are kept in cages or people make profit showing them. We had an amazing guide who grew up in Limon and also spoke English flawlessly. He knew the answers to all the questions. Most importantly, when the weather was bad and we were unable to hike into the rainforest he was able to pivot and take us to a private property to make sure we saw a sloth. On our river cruise portion we saw so much wildlike. It was truly amazing. Our guide is also a fabulous photographer and was able to take some great sloth pictures for me.

We had an interesting and informative tour and were very happy with the arrangements. We were greeted by our tour guide just outside the port and the tour departed on time. We followed the proposed itinerary and feel that we learned a lot about many aspects of the Costa Rican culture, economy and daily life. Our guide and driver were flexible in little ways that made the day most enjoyable and fun for the whole group. We would definitely recommend this tour.

We grabbed this trip from the port off of our cruise ship. It was reasonably priced and got us into a smaller group than what the ship would offer. They were easy to find off the ship and they pointed out a sloth as we were walking to the bus! We were led by Steven. He was great at explaining the local way of life as we drove. We pulled over to see the banana plantation. We hiked part of a rain forest and saw and heard howler monkeys and watched them play in the trees. We also saw a sloth moving in the trees. I was very pleased with the amount of animals we saw. We then had a boat ride and saw sloths and monkeys as well as various birds and a crocodile. It was a great and informative trip.

Our guide and driver were wonderful and helped taking my husbands scooter on and off the bus. A bit of a mix up at start but they fixed everything rather quickly
the Nature park and boat ride were well worth it. always on look out for monkeys and sloths for us. Water on bus was very handy as always. Keep up the good work.
