Day 1. WELCOME TO COSTA RICA. Arrival to the International Airport Juan Santamaria. Upon arrival at the San Jose airport, you will be met our naturalist tour guide for a warm welcome and Transfer to Hotel Park Inn and free time at leisure. Dinner on your own.

Day 2. LA PAZ WATERFALL GARDENS (B, L, D). Breakfast at the hotel and departure to the tour to La Paz Waterfall Gardens. 

Waterfall Gardens is proud to have the largest Butterfly Observatory in the world. The enclosed structure allows butterflies to soar freely while guests walk amid the natural habitat. An on site laboratory is a breeding ground for the eleven fluttering species. In the Hummingbird garden, our feathered friends will delight and fascinate you with their antics as they play and fight with each other at amazing speeds. These normally skittish creatures have become so tame; they will feed within a few feet of you. After exploring Waterfall Gardens , you will enjoy a delicious buffet style lunch at the terrace dining room. After lunch, drive to Sarapiqui. Upon arrival, check in at Selva Verde Lodge and free time. Dinner at the hotel.

DAY 3. ADVENTURE  COMBO TOUR: ZIPLINE + RAFTING TOUR. (B, L, D). Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Sarapiqui area for the Pozo Azul tour. Costa Rica provides White Water Rafting experiences that take your adrenaline to top levels and fascinating Canopy Tours going high above the treetops. Now you can enjoy the two activities in an extraordinary way. Discover the natural marvels of Sarapiqui; an extensive territory located in the northeastern parts of the country, with a variety of crystal clear rivers, an abundance of beautiful tropical forests and villages inhabited by friendly and laborious people.

The rafting at Sarapiqui River has different levels between class II and class III, presenting vibrant scenery to those who want to participate in this exciting activity. Nine miles of unexpected rapids in combination with calm and relaxing intervals makes this an unforgettable experience for bird watchers and nature lovers. 

After the two activities, lunch and transfer to the lodge. Free evening. Dinner at Selva Verde Lodge.

Day 4. RIO CELESTE TUBING (B, L, D). Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the unique tour Rio Celeste Tubing. You’ll have the time of your life riding the beautiful waters of the Rio Celeste River in individual inner tube rafts on our Rio Celeste Tubing Adventure.

Enjoy non-stop fun and excitement bouncing and splashing down 3 km (2 miles) of class 1 and 2 rapids in this narrow, beautiful river of light blue clear water. There are plenty of quiet pools along the way to appreciate the beautiful tropical scenery. Our special river tube rafts are designed with handles and protective bottoms. Guides go with you and ensure your safety.

At our operations center, there are bathrooms and changing rooms. We recommend wearing a swimsuit, quick-dry shorts and shirt, and either river shoes, sneakers or strap-on sandals that are secure. When you finish river tubing, you will have the opportunity to dry off and change before to return to our operation center for enjoy a delicious Costa Rican Style lunch. After the tour, transfer to Arenal Volcano and Fortuna Town. Overnight at hotel Magic Mountain. Dinner at the hotel

Day 5. ARENAL VOLCANO & HOT SPRINGS (B, L, D). Breakfast at the hotel. Check Out and departure to La Fortuna & Arenal Volcano area. Visit Arenal Lake and boat tour for enjoy the beautiful scenery and impressive Arenal Volcano from the lake. After the tour, check in at Baldi Hot Springs. THE LARGEST THERMAL WATERS OF THE WORLD. 25 THERMAL WATER POOLS. Amidst the tropical rainforest, these 25 thermal water pools are filled by crystalline waterfalls, for the use and enjoyment of all visitors.

The purity of the water will make you feel like you are floating in an oasis of healing, with birds singing all around and the sound of falling water that invites you to relax and recover your wellness and quality of life.

Extreme adventure lovers seeking an adrenaline rush and extraordinary experiences have the perfect challenge of sliding and bumping through whirling and curved pipe water slides. These Xtreme slides are fun for the entire family as it is impossible not to laugh and share the excitement of people splashing out from the pipes. Lunch & Buffet dinner included at Baldi. 

Day  6. FORTUNA WATERFALL (B, L, D). Breakfast at the hotel and departure to one of the best waterfalls in Costa Rica. The La Fortuna Waterfall is one of the best things to see when you come to the Arenal Area! You will love the hike down to this waterfall near the town of La Fortuna because you can see all the natural beauty of the rainforest as well as the birds and wildlife that live there. Once you arrive to the La Fortuna Waterfall, prepare to be blown away by the beauty of this impressive waterfall near the Arenal Volcano! You will also be able to swim and take amazing photos! 

After spend the morning in this waterfall, return to Fortuna town and lunch.

Afternoon free time for enjoy the hotel swimming pool or explore the picturesque Fortuna Town.

Day 7. TRANSFER TO SAN JOSE & VISIT TO SARCHI (B). Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Return to San Jose. On the way, stop at Sarchi Town. Sarchi is perhaps most widely recognized for its colorful and decorative oxcarts that have been made here for over a century. 

A national symbol of Costa Rica, the oxcart plays a key role in the country’s history, as they were used to transport coffee beans & other goods to nearby and faraway markets and ports. Starting in 1840’s most of the rural roads were very rough making the ox cart the sole means of transportation for families even though the trips could take weeks at times.

Also, widely found throughout town are dozens of wooden furniture and souvenir stores that sell everything from beautifully decorated bowls and trays to intricately carved wooden utensils, jewelry and masks. Elegant and stylish, a lot of wooden furniture is also available in Sarchi, from tables and chairs to dressers and desks. These items are usually meant for the local market, and often reflect Costa Rica’s diverse culture and traditions. 

Lunch in Sarchi before to continue to San Jose. Overnight at Hotel Park Inn. Farewell dinner at the hotel.

Day 8. TRANSFER OUT (B). Transfer to the International Airport according with your scheduled flight and good bye. 

RATES: Please contact us for a quotation indicating number of students, adults and possible travel dates. Rates based on Triple & Quad occupancy for the students and double rooms for the teachers. No single rooms available unless a single supplement is paid.
