Day 1 – Welcome to Costa Rica: The Costa Rica fun adventure start with your arrival to the International Airport Juan Santamaria. Upon arrival at the San Jose airport, you will be met by one of our representatives how will explain your itinerary, answer any questions and provide you with a package of vouchers and information about your trip. Transfer to Hotel Radisson and free time at leisure.

Day 2 – Pacuare Rafting Tour (B, L, D): Rafting on the Pacuare River – rated one of the top rivers in the world – is an amazing Costa Rica Day trip. You’ll raft through incredible rainforest on 19 miles of Class III-IV whitewater.

Cascading waterfalls, lush forest, exotic plants, birds and other animals, and exciting rapids make this a tropical adventure packed with rich experiences that you’ll remember forever.

We will transport you from your San Jose area hotel in our private, comfortable, air-conditioned bus to the river, where you’ll enjoy our sumptuous, traditional Costa Rican breakfast.

After breakfast and changing into rafting gear, we will drive to our private rafting put-in on the banks of the Pacuare River.

Here, our professional, certified rafting guides will outfit you with all necessary equipment, give you a comprehensive rafting safety talk, and instruct you on paddling basics.

Then, you and your group will launch your raft and begin to paddle deep into the heart of one of Costa Rica’s most impressive primary rainforests. It’s an adrenaline-packed day running the Pacuare’s renowned rapids.

At the end of your rafting trip, you’ll return to the operations center for a delicious hot lunch, and time to shower and change clothes. Then you’ll return by bus to San Jose, enjoying beautiful views along the way. This unforgettable trip will be the highlight of your time in Costa Rica!

Day 3. Private Tour La Paz Waterfall Gardens (B, L): The tour begins at your hotel, where you hop on a luxury air-conditioned motor coach or private 4X4 Deluxe vehicle for a one-hour drive along scenic roads, passing quaint villages on your way to the beautiful complex of La Paz Waterfall Gardens.

La Paz Waterfall Gardens is the #1 Most Visited Privately Owned Ecological Attraction in Costa Rica featuring the best hiking near San José, the most famous waterfalls in Costa Rica, rescued wildlife preserve with over 100 species of animals, and an environmental education program.

With the fine attention and explanations of our naturalist tour guide, enjoy: Five waterfalls, cloud forest and rainforest, safe hiking trails, aviary with numerous species of birds, toucan feeding, insect exhibit, butterfly observatory, capuchin (white-faced) monkeys & spider monkeys.

The hummingbird garden with 26 documented species, hummingbird hand feeding in the mornings and afternoons, serpentarium (snake exhibit), jaguars, pumas, ocelots, margays, traditional typical house with petting zoo and ox cart, ranarium (frog exhibit), orchid exhibit, heliconia exhibit.

All these offered at one place, makes us the best eco park in Costa Rica. Our tour includes a delicious Buffet Lunch. After finishing all these unique Eco Attractions, and by the middle of the afternoon, return to your hotel in San Jose.

Day 4. Private Arenal Volcano, Fortuna Waterfall & Baldi Hot Springs (B, L). Located in the northern lowlands of Costa Rica, the impressive Arenal Volcano is a National Park that attracts thousands and thousands of tourists due to its beauty and recent past volcanic activity. Back in the 80´s the volcano was very active, but now has reduced its activity and we could say that it has entered a period of calm. However, the beauty of the Volcano and surroundings are just spectacular.

Once in La Fortuna Town, a sightseeing tour will show you the highlights of the area and its rich diversity of tourist attractions, ecosystems, the lake, culture, customs & traditions of this emblematic town of Costa Rica.

At Mistico Park and Hanging Bridges, enjoy travelling the forest comfortably in our revitalizing paths full of nature and wildlife.

In front of the majestic Arenal Volcano you can admire its beauty and the wonderful forest that surrounds it, as well as a reserve populated with wildlife in their natural habitat that will allow you an encounter with the roots of the human species.

Walk across 10 regular bridges and 6 Hanging Bridges and gaze at a 18 meters (60 feet) waterfall within a comfortable non-slippery trail without steps and acquire a once in a life time bracing adventure.

Later, you will relax in one of the best thermal water places in the area: Baldi Hot Springs. At Baldi Hot Springs you will find an endless dreamed stay, where the natural environment, colorful natural gardens, therapeutic waters, pure air and our care combine on a perfect state; the dream came true.

The unique frame where your experience turns into the most unforgettable one. In here you will enjoy multiple thermal pools, a giant stem room, luxury pool bars, Giant waterslides, relaxing areas and much more. Upon arrival to Baldi Hot Springs, enjoy a delicious Buffet Lunch before to jump into the Thermal Pools. Once at Baldi, our driver will leave you and return to San Jose.

You can stay the rest of the day at the beautiful complex. Overnight at Hotel Arenal Paraiso. Transfer to the hotel on your own, but it is only 5 minutes from Baldi.

Day 5. A FREESTYLE DAY IN ARENAL. (B). Customize your vacation with the included adventure of your choice. Please select one. This option will be added to your final itinerary.

Day 6 – Transfer to Manuel Antonio Park (B): Enjoy a typical breakfast before the transfer to your next destination: Manuel Antonio National Park in the Pacific Ocean. After a 5 hours drive, check in at Hotel Costa Verde. Free time for enjoy the rest of the day on your own or relax at the swimming pool. Lunch and dinner on your own.

Day 7 – Manuel Antonio Park (B): Breakfast and departure to Manuel Antonio National Park. With only 900 hectares, including 12 islands in its vicinity, Manuel Antonio National Park is the smallest and yet the most visited park in the country.

This is a guided walk where we will appreciate the park’s importance as a transition zone where the tropical dry forest and rainforest meet. In a relatively short distance, you can appreciate the mangrove wetlands and visit one of the most beautiful beaches on the Pacific coast.

Wildlife in the park is abundant and is likely to have a chance to see sloths, raccoons or any of the three types of monkeys (capuchin, squirrel and howler monkeys). Have reported more than 350 species of birds in the park and surrounding areas is common to see agoutis, armadillos, iguanas and raccoons. After the tour, return to the hotel and free time.

Day 8 – Transfer Out (B): Transfer to the International Airport accordingly with your scheduled flight and Good bye.

Not Included: International air fare, airport departure taxes, meals not specified in the itinerary, alcoholic beverages, personal equipment, extras in hotels (laundry, phone calls, and room service), gratuities, or costs associated with changes in your itinerary for reasons beyond our control.

SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE: The shuttle bus is a service where a maximum of 6-7 passengers travel in the same vehicle and to the same destination. By this way, we reduce the price of the transfer service and can arrange more economical packages. The service is very good, door to door, with recent model vehicles, full insured and A/C.

DEPARTURE DATES: All our options are available all year around and we just need your travel dates in order to check the hotel’s availability and arrange it.

HOW BIG THE GROUPS ARE: Our vacations are operated in an independent basis and you will not travel as part of a group unless you are part of a group. However, during the transfers and Daily Tours you will travel with other tourist we might have for that particular activity or service.

HOW TO RESERVE THIS PACKAGE: Please send an email to info@greenwaytours.com with as much as information you can about your desired vacation, number of participants, arrival dates, name of the package you are interested on and any other special requirements. Once you receive our confirmation form, a 20% deposit is due. Full payment due 45 days prior to departure.

CAN I CUSTOMIZE A PACKAGE: Yes, you can use our packages as a base and make any change on it. We are very flexible. If these packages do not fit on your desired vacation, just send an email to us and we can prepare a new option for you.

AIRFARE IS NOT INCLUDED: All our options includes the Land Portion only. Airfare must be on your own and indicate your arrival and departure dates to us in order to arrange the hotel’s bookings.

HOTEL CATEGORIES: All the hotels used by Greenway Tours had been selected considering the best standards of quality and service. Our Hotels are between 3 and 5 stars. All inspected by our company’s owners and managers in order to guarantee an excellent service. At least 50% of our lodging contractors had been certified as Green Companies by the Costa Rican Tourist Board (Certification in Sustainable Tourism CST).

AIRPORT TRANSFERS: All our packages include Airport – Hotel – Airport Transfers with a professional bilingual tour guide upon your flight arrival.

Cancellation Policy: If cancellation is made 30 days or more prior to the scheduled trip, the deposit will be refunded. If cancellation is made 30-16 days, the entire 50% deposit is forfeited. If cancellation is made 14-1 days before scheduled trip, total deposit is forfeited.
