Brief Description:

DAY 1. Welcome to Costa Rica. Meet & Great at San Jose Airport and transfer to hotel.

DAY 2. Pacuare Whitewater Rafting tour. Enjoy the day with this amazing adventure and ecological experience in a world class river for rafting.

DAY 3. Visit to the most important ecological attraction at only 1 hours from San Jose. La Paz Waterfall Garden includes 5 magnificent waterfalls with easy access and multiple exhibits of the most representative wildlife species of Costa Rica.

DAY 4. Private tour to Arenal Volcano area. Visit Fortuna Waterfall and Baldi Hot Springs. Buffet lunch and free time for enjoy the thermal pools.

DAY 5. Time to explore Arenal Volcano area and enjoy the day with the selected tour of your preference included in your package. You select 1 tour from a list of options.

DAY 6. Enjoy a pleasant and sightseeing transfer to Manuel Antonio. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel. Free time for discover the city on your own.

DAY 7. Discover the beauty of Manuel Antonio National Park with a professional naturalist tour guide.

DAY 8. Private transfer to International Airport. Time to say goodbye. Have a safe and pleasant journey back to home.

Day By Day Itinerary:

Day 1 – Welcome to Costa Rica: The Costa Rica fun adventure start with your arrival to the International Airport Juan Santamaria. Upon arrival at the San Jose airport, you will be met by one of our representatives how will explain your itinerary, answer any questions and provide you with a package of vouchers and information about your trip. Transfer to hotel and free time at leisure.

Day 2 – Pacuare Rafting Tour (B, L): Rafting on the Pacuare River – rated one of the top rivers in the world – is an amazing Costa Rica Day trip. You’ll raft through incredible rainforest on 19 miles of Class III-IV whitewater.

Cascading waterfalls, lush forest, exotic plants, birds and other animals, and exciting rapids make this a tropical adventure packed with rich experiences that you’ll remember forever. We will transport you from your San Jose area hotel in our private, comfortable, air-conditioned bus to the river, where you’ll enjoy our sumptuous, traditional Costa Rican breakfast. After breakfast and changing into rafting gear, we will drive to our private rafting put-in on the banks of the Pacuare River. Here, our professional, certified rafting guides will outfit you with all necessary equipment, give you a comprehensive rafting safety talk, and instruct you on paddling basics.

Then, you and your group will launch your raft and begin to paddle deep into the heart of one of Costa Rica’s most impressive primary rainforests. It’s an adrenaline-packed day running the Pacuare’s renowned rapids. At the end of your rafting trip, you’ll return to the operations center for a delicious hot lunch, and time to shower and change clothes. Then you’ll return by bus to San Jose, enjoying beautiful views along the way. This unforgettable trip will be the highlight of your time in Costa Rica!

Day 3. Private Tour La Paz Waterfall Gardens (B, L): The tour begins at your hotel, where you hop on a luxury air-conditioned motor coach or private 4X4 Deluxe vehicle for a one-hour drive along scenic roads, passing quaint villages on your way to the beautiful complex of La Paz Waterfall Gardens.

La Paz Waterfall Gardens is the #1 Most Visited Privately Owned Ecological Attraction in Costa Rica featuring the best hiking near San José, the most famous waterfalls in Costa Rica, rescued wildlife preserve with over 100 species of animals, and an environmental education program.

With the fine attention and explanations of our naturalist tour guide, enjoy: Five waterfalls, cloud forest and rainforest, safe hiking trails, aviary with numerous species of birds, toucan feeding, insect exhibit, butterfly observatory, capuchin (white-faced) monkeys & spider monkeys.

The hummingbird garden with 26 documented species, hummingbird hand feeding in the mornings and afternoons, serpentarium (snake exhibit), jaguars, pumas, ocelots, margays, traditional typical house with petting zoo and ox cart, ranarium (frog exhibit), orchid exhibit, heliconia exhibit.

All these offered at one place, makes us the best eco park in Costa Rica. Our tour includes a delicious Buffet Lunch. It includes multiple selections of Traditional Costa Rican Dishes, Full Salad Bar, Pizza, Garlic Bread, French Fries, Fresh Fruits, Rice Pudding and unlimited Fresh Fruit Juice, Coffee and Tea.

After finishing all these unique Eco Attractions, and by the middle of the afternoon, return to your hotel in San Jose.

Day 4. Private Tour to Fortuna Waterfall & Baldi Hot Springs (B, L). Your breath-taking, adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel and a relaxing private drive through the wonderful Costa Rican countryside on an air-conditioned transportation and recent model deluxe vehicle or minibus. Your guide will point out many sights of interest including coffee plantations, sugar cane and citrus plantations, diverse fruit stands and rural farming communities. You will be heading Fortuna Town, about 2 hours’ drive from San Jose. Once in Fortuna you will visit Fortuna Waterfall.

Located in the northern lowlands of Costa Rica, the impressive Arenal Volcano is a National Park that attracts thousands and thousands of tourists due to its beauty and recent past volcanic activity. Back in the 80´s the volcano was very active, but now has reduced its activity and we could say that it has entered a period of calm. However, the beauty of the Volcano and surroundings are just spectacular. Once in La Fortuna Town, a sightseeing tour will show you the highlights of the area and its rich diversity of tourist attractions, ecosystems, the lake, culture, customs & traditions of this emblematic town of Costa Rica.

The La Fortuna Waterfall is one of the best things to see when you come to the Arenal Area! You will love the hike down to this waterfall near the town of La Fortuna because you can see all the natural beauty of the rainforest as well as the birds and wildlife that live there. Once you arrive to the La Fortuna Waterfall, prepare to be blown away by the beauty of this impressive waterfall near the Arenal Volcano! You will also be able to swim and take amazing photos! This popular attraction on TripAdvisor’s “Top Things to do in La Fortuna” is great for the whole family.

Later, you will relax in one of the best thermal water places in the area: Baldi Hot Springs. At Baldi Hot Springs you will find an endless dreamed stay, where the natural environment, colorful natural gardens, therapeutic waters, pure air and our care combine on a perfect state; the dream came true. The unique frame where your experience turns into the most unforgettable one. In here you will enjoy multiple thermal pools, a giant stem room, luxury pool bars, Giant waterslides, relaxing areas and much more.

Upon arrival to Baldi Hot Springs, enjoy a delicious Buffet Lunch before to jump into the Thermal Pools. Lockers and Towels are included in our tours. At this paradise you will stay till 4:00 PM. Transfer to Hotel and free time.

Day 5. A FREESTYLE DAY IN ARENAL. (B). Customize your vacation with the included adventure of your choice. Please select one. This option will be added to your final itinerary.

Day 6 – Transfer to Manuel Antonio Park (B): Enjoy a typical breakfast before the transfer to your next destination: Manuel Antonio National Park in the Pacific Ocean. After a 5 hours’ drive, hotel check in and free time for enjoy the rest of the day on your own or relax at the swimming pool. Lunch and dinner on your own.

Day 7 – Manuel Antonio Park Nature Walk (B): Breakfast and departure to Manuel Antonio National Park. With only 900 hectares, including 12 islands in its vicinity, Manuel Antonio National Park is the smallest and yet the most visited park in the country.

This is a guided walk where we will appreciate the park’s importance as a transition zone where the tropical dry forest and rainforest meet. In a relatively short distance, you can appreciate the mangrove wetlands and visit one of the most beautiful beaches on the Pacific coast.

Wildlife in the park is abundant and is likely to have a chance to see sloths, raccoons or any of the three types of monkeys (capuchin, squirrel and howler monkeys). Have reported more than 350 species of birds in the park and surrounding areas is common to see agoutis, armadillos, iguanas and raccoons. After the tour, return to the hotel and free time.

Day 8 – Transfer Out (B): Transfer to the International Airport accordingly with your scheduled flight and Goodbye.

HOW TO RESERVE THIS PACKAGE: Please send an email to info@greenwaytours.com indicating: Number of passengers adults, children and ages, travel dates and selected category (Silver, Gold or Platinum)

DEPOSIT AND FINAL PAYMENTS: Once you confirm your package selection, we will send a confirmation form and request a 20% deposit. The Balance must be paid 45 days before the arrival date.

SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE: The shuttle bus is a service where a maximum of 6-7 passengers travel in the same vehicle and to the same destination. By this way, we reduce the price of the transfer service and can arrange more economical packages. The service is very good, door to door, with recent model vehicles, full insured and A/C.

PRIVATE TRANSFERS: Exclusive VIP service. Door to Door in deluxe Mini van or vehicle. Recent model vehicles, full insured and A/C.

TRAVEL DATES: You select the best date for you. All our options are available all year around and we just need your travel dates in order to check the hotel’s availability and arrange it.

HOW BIG THE GROUPS ARE: Our vacations are operated in an independent basis and you will not travel as part of a group unless you are part of a group. However, during the transfers and Daily Tours you will travel with other tourist we might have for that particular activity or service.

CAN I CUSTOMIZE A PACKAGE: Yes, you can use our packages as a base and make any change on it. We are very flexible. If these packages do not fit on your desired vacation, just send an email to us and we can prepare a new option for you.

AIRFARE IS NOT INCLUDED: All our options include the Land Portion only. Airfare must be on your own and indicate your arrival and departure dates to us in order to arrange the hotel’s bookings.
